Polygamy isn't barbaric, just different. It isn't that I disagree with all the reasons they have for banning these things. Most countries have banned polygamy and cracked down on honor killing. Canada is receiving flak for naming the bill "Barbaric". Which is another mishap by the one and only, the Canadian Conservative government.
I don't support honor killing, but I don't think it is barbaric. The practices are much more culturally and traditionally aligned. It isn't mindless, just like polygamy, which I think actually should be legal.
