wow, check it out! It was pretty difficult to defeat it...I had to try a gazillion times then finally stick to d4 instead of my usual e4. The computer plays against e4 rather too strongly!

At some point I considered revising my AI so that it wouldn't make dumb mistakes but I've been far too busy with all my other projects.

Lars, when did you make a AI? How does that work?

Pinkie: I made a program that plays chess. It's just a brute force search of every possible move and uses a few simple rules to work out which position is best (for example, it's better to have more pieces, or to move pawns closer to the other side etc).

Blackflag: My script will never beat shredder! It was part of a competition to see who could make the best script from scratch in 3 days. Shredder took years of development and is still being improved. Plus Shredder runs with access to better system resources since it's an actual executable, not JIT javascript.
