The West Has Strange Standards

In the west, murder is portrayed all the time, often in a comedic or even positive light. Think about "Assassins Creed", "Hitman", "Dexter", etc.
Meanwhile, if you make a video game or TV Show which portrays rape in a positive light, you'll never hear the end of it and the lobby groups will hound you until you die (probably an exaggeration, but you get my point, right?).
Then, it's considered acceptable to insult people because of their religion. In the United States, it's acceptable to make a show which portrays all Christians as being ignorant sheep. In Europe, they probably say some horrible things about Muslims and Jews. And so on.
Yet racism is considered to be absolutely abhorrent.
If you were stand behind a microphone during a press conference and say "Muslims are a bloodthirsty, violent people", it wouldn't be considered as bad as if you stood up and said "Black people are indistinguishable from monkeys".
Do you get what I'm saying? Our standards are all messed up.
