This here is a really good article that I 100% agree with, and was something I found myself when I was more active:

The key point of the piece is that too many tournaments are elitist, emphasizing extravagant partying over actual debating.
Just thought it was worth sharing. Maybe some of you can relate to it if you debate in RL.

Too many "intellectual" events are dominated by uppity and entitled liberal youth with huge sheep mentality. That's okay though, since middle aged conservatives have taken over the internet.
