Possible rule update

Recently there have been a number of members making accounts strictly for commercial advertising and link farming. Examples would be profiles like @JulieGreen . Then later I discover they're using other people's identities etc.

The suggested change to the site rules would replace this line:

EDEB8.com may only be used for your personal, non-commercial interests.

With this:

EDEB8.com is only to be used for non-commercial purposes. Users may be banned immediately if their profiles contain links to third-party sites as an apparent advertisement, with no or very little engagement with the community after a reasonable period of time.

And on the settings page, add a little reminder warning to this effect.

admin: Bots usually don't create bios and set-up profile pics.

Either they are desperate, or are getting payed by people to stupid to know better.

Blackflag: Yeah, I doubt it's bots. People are desperate in the digital marketing world though.
