@DHS15608 - debates aren't really about who's right or wrong, but who's more convincing. If you want to discuss your personal views on matters, the forums might be a more appropriate place.

I know I am not in this debate but I would just like to say something here. Cooldudebro, you are incorrect on the flat tax being unfair and favoring the rich. A progressive tax can get a higher tax revenue but it does not help with wealth inequality. Rich billionaire plutocrats like Warren Buffet want a progressive tax, they know it will not touch their huge wealth. "Many of the countries that have imposed a flat tax rate system on individuals and businesses, including Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, have experienced economic growth since adopting flat tax rate policies." http://www.investopedia.com/terms/f/flattax.asp
I know you may be a democrat and plutocrat billionaire supporter who wants to shift weight and kill the middle class(which is by the way, the most important contributor to society), but the progressive tax in america has not worked well and many of the rich avoid taxes through loopholes which the middle class can not avoid. I disagree and want to save middle class from its destruction. Just trying to correct your ignorance.
