No one on this site really says pro and con, and they are rare in a real debating atmosphere.
We should change Pro to the Affirming Position, and Con to the Opposing Position.

You like making words longer huh...
I say pro and con all the time.

In a real debate, it sounds very unprofessional to say pro and con. I also realized that most people on this site are not using pro and con.
Pro and con is also to simplistic for summarizing a stance/position.

The main competing alternative that's also that short is AFF and NEG, much more rarely PROP and OPP.
I'll bet that more people know what "pro"/"con" means than "aff" and "neg".
I'm the main developer for the site. If you have any problems, ideas, questions or concerns please send me a message.
Let's revive the forums!
