I've added some (partially paraphrased) topics from this year's Worlds to the secret topic list. There are now 153 topics in the pool!

That the United States of America should fund moderate Madrassas throughout the Islamic world
That the rise of a 'hookup culture' is regrettable
That the receipt of welfare payments should be conditional on the use of contraception
That the commodification of indigenous cultures is regrettable
That governments should only test drugs for safety, not effectiveness, before approving them for the public
That India should adopt aggressive free market policies
That multinational companies should be liable for human rights abuses anywhere in their supply chain
That women should reject practices that alter the appearance of their genitalia
That the Pope should publicly endorse radically redistributive government policies
That we should auction off the long term right to govern bankrupt cities for profit
That the gay rights movement should abandon the claim that sexuality is not a choice
That we should abolish gated communities in the developing world

I feel like I'd walk into a trap if I tried another debate with this pool. I might do one, but I want to see what other topics there are.

Resurrecting this old post coz the boss said we need new debate topics. I'll start:

1. The USA should replace the Star Spangled Banner as their national anthem.
2. Marriage is an outmoded institution.
3. Life is better for a young adult today than it was 40 years ago.*
4. Scotland should become independent.
5. On balance, the quality of popular music of the last 10 years is inferior to that of the 80's.
6. On balance, Nixon was a better president than Reagan
7. Learning a second language should be compulsory for school aged kids.
8. Security through Obscurity is preferable
9. The United Kingdom should replace the Union Flag**
10. Team sports should be removed from the Olympics.

* Could be too Region specific? - someone might need to rewrite that resolution

** Technically the UK doesn't have a legally defined flag but this resolution assumes the de facto Union flag as being their official flag.
