There's a bunch of really great features in the works, including a new addition to team/individual debates - multiuser debates, where instead of debating as a defined team, 2 or 3 users debate together with users doing alternating rounds. This would not be possible with 4-way debates or reply speeches, but just a really quick way to kick off a "team"-like debate for all those that have requested something like this. Multiuser debates would also be automatically generated by the site.

More importantly, however, I'm looking to get somebody to improve the design aspects of the site while I focus on bugs and adding new features. In particular, I think it would be cool if this site was optimized for mobile, as virtually no other debate sites are. Anyone know anyone?

Also, what do you like most about the current design? And what do you like least?

I've also put up an ad on freelancer in case anyone is interested: https://www.freelancer.co.nz/projects/PHP-Website-Design/Website-Redesign.5157035.html

Godaddy has a great mobile feature for their wordpress themes. If you can create a wordpress theme as a proxy...that theme can then be made mobile and look very pretty.

I can host a domain for free on my account for you to play around with, if you need.

Heineken: This site by it's nature can't really be themed very well for a CMS. CMSs make assumptions about posts and pages and such that make them particularly poorly suited to being the CMS of a site like this which could itself be considered a CMS.

Thanks for the domain offer, I have a few spares myself and there's always the possibility of using a subdomain on this site, but it's definitely very much appreciated!

Congratulations to webzer for winning the contract to do the design. If you have suggestions, be sure to pass them on to them!

The site is definitely improving in asthetics. Trying to be open-minded, as we favor that which we are familiar with.

I was also having issues with this site being not being categorized under Bluecoat and some pages weren't loading or weren't being formatted correctly.

All seems to be working now. So far so good!

I have judged 5 debates and I was wondering why I have 65%?
Please excuse me as I'm not super creative when it comes to forum signatures.

Pinkie: 65% is your rating. It's based on how others have rated your votes. If everyone rated you as constructive it would be 100%, while if everyone rated them as vote bombs it would be 20%. So to improve your rating, rather than voting more, make votes that people rate highly.

Your overall placement in the top judges rankings is based on both your ratings and number of votes (your average rating is multiplied by your number of votes and then you're ranked against everyone else).

Hope that makes sense :)

admin: So, will this help determine who quality voters are?

nolongeractiveuser: It already is helping to determine it. That's why the EDEB8 judging leaderboard is so much better than the DDO one.

Okay, so I was rating votes and I accidentally hit the "Report as spam" button, do you think you could swap the places of the buttons? :)
Please excuse me as I'm not super creative when it comes to forum signatures.

Pinkie: Other people, what do you think about this? Should they be swapped?

admin: I didn't even know you could rate votes. Cool!
So this is how it works!

So sadly webzer has decided to leave the project after 2 months or so, without finishing a design. Oh well, guess it's all down to me again...
