Bug Report

Two things so far:

1) I tried to make "private" my name, but it seems that doesn't work (or at least I can still see my own name when I view my own profile)

2) I can't change my photo.

wrichcirw: You can always see your own details, so that's not a bug. Rest assured that not even I can see your name.

And um... you seem to have set your photo to something? Is it just not changing now that you've uploaded something or...? (BTW, this could be a caching issue - the site does a ton of caching wherever it can for speed purposes. That's why the site is literally twice as fast as DDO in Google's objective testing).

admin: I tried responding to a message, and it said that there was an error in adding the reply at this moment.

Nerd Politico: Can you try again? Just re-added some debugging code that I took out because I thought it was working. At least this time I'll be able to see exactly what the error was.

Nerd Politico: Yip, error spotted, being fixed. Seems to be the hotlinking behaving oddly, without the link it works fine. Will let you know when it's cool to send.

admin: Well, hmm. I uploaded a photo initially, and then tried to upload another one to replace it. It seems the replacement worked for the most part, except that when I view my profile, it's still the initial upload.

wrichcirw: That'll be the caching. Again, the site is super-optimised for speed, so it might take a bit before everyone can see profile image changes.

Maybe a bug? If you join a debate and then change your mind about which side to take and click "leave", it removes the debate completely.

Maybe you intended it that way, its not a big deal, just thought I'd mention it.

nzlockie: Intended. If all debaters leave a debate, it deletes the debate.

Would people prefer it if it didn't do this?

Also, should CX rounds be allowed for 4-way debates, for those who know about that kind of stuff?

I don't mind if it does that. If I could remember the exact wording of the topic I'd just create it myself and choose the right side this time.
It's no biggie and not really worth changing IMO.

No idea about 4 way debates but there hasn't even been one yet!

Hey Admin, just a quick one for you: In all the browsers I use, This reply box is small, approximately 33% the width of the overall thread.
I find this kind of annoying to type into. If everyone else agrees, then maybe you could alter it to be 100% width?

While you're at it, the ability to edit posts would be cool, although I realise there are a lot of reasons why you might have elected not to run that way.
