Is this stealing ?

Lets say rob was walking down the streets of new york, how cliche, anyways a guy steals the phone from rob's back-pocket. But you managed to ''steal'' it back. Is this stealing ?

1.You own the own the phone.

2. robber steals phone.

3.robber owns phone for a split second.

4.you steal it back

5.So you are just as guilty as the robber.

So we can say that both rob and the robber actions are both ethically and morally wrong. And no its not a troll question. Im just questioning human morality.
