Why does it exist? What is it that the west hates about Russia and why are Americans so intent on annihilating Russia and Russian culture. Sanctions against Russia have resulted in nothing positive but have harmed tens of millions of people in Russia. Why did the Obama Administration in its last days, deport 35 Russians in order to get back at Putin?

Bolshevik-: in my opinion, i think it is because the american presidency is not stable unless they have an enemy to blame for and find fault with. I think the american war machine may not function properly unless they have some one to fight against. with bill clinton it was taliban, bush saddam hussain, obama it was gaddafi and ISIS. trump still has to find an enemy. the US president will always have problems internally if he does not focus the peoples attention on some external problem.

DASITHA NARANGODA: Well Trump already has an enemy which would be immigrants coming across the Mexican border and from Muslim nations. He is trying to make these groups of people look like a way bigger problem than they actually are. Other than that, I suppose there's China and North Korea.

Bolshevik-: Doesn't Russia have some anti-American sentiments?

Bi0Hazard: Eh more a matter of concern over US troops doing drills on the Russian border. Remember, it was the United States who slapped sanctions on Russia first.

Bolshevik-: On this point, sanctions against North Korea have undoubtedly harmed North Korean people. Do you agree with them?

Bolshevik-: Your OP clearly related to the negative impacts of sanctions and negative foreign sentiments though... surely this applies far outside of Russia. Iran, North Korea, China etc come to mind.
