How do people feel about people citing fake experts and stuff in debates? Recently it's been a hot topic in places where debate is a bit more academic:

If you know you're wrong, admit it and change beliefs. Don't hold the same position and lie about the facts in order to persuade someone.

It is acceptable. It is a contest and not about intellectual honesty. It is the other teams job to point out the,inaccuracy.

I use whatever facts I think will persuade. I would be intellectually honest but people are usually not smart enough to get my premises anyway.
