I am the new edeb8 mod. AMA

As you all probably have heard, I have been appointed as the site's new moderator. I want to take this opportunity to thank @admin for giving me a chance to serve this community. I am greatly honored.

I got started with debating 6 years ago when I first joined Debate.org. Since then, my debating skills and writing skills have drastically improved, as well as my critical thinking skills.

Currently, I am a biology major at the Community College of Baltimore County in Maryland. Upon completion of my undergrad
I would like to get into medical school.

In addition to all of that, I am a classically trained musician. I play piano and organ; I also sing in various choirs throughout the Baltimore area.

With that said, I would like to give you guys a chance to get to know me and for me to get to know you. Therefore, I am creating an AMA thread for you to ask your questions.

Kohai: Three questions:
How knowledgeable are you in being a site moderator?
How well do you know edeb8?
What are your political views?

Bi0Hazard: Great questions.

1. In the past, I have served as moderator on two sites. One was a chess forum and the other was an LGBTQ forum for youth.

2. I know edeb8 fairly well. I joined in July of this past year. I feel that I have gotten used to the interface and know it fairly well by now.

3. I am left-wing/Democratic Socialist.

Kohai: Why'd you first decide to try debating?
What's the last classical music piece you listened to?
Name one hero to you / person you look up to?

admin: 1. I've always been the type of person who wasn't afraid to voice my opinion on the issue and give evidence for my viewpoint. However, once I started debating, my viewpoint and worldview has changed significantly. For example, when I first started, I was pro-life; today I am pro-choice. Debating has helped me gain a greater appreciation for opposing viewpoints.

2. "Pieta Signore" - Lord, Have Mercy! It is an aria that I am currently learning.

3. Tough question! I'd say for one, President Barack Obama.
