It is said that on average 500 hours of content is uploaded to youtube every minute. This makes it physically impossible for employees of youtube/google to screen every piece of content uploaded to their cite.
Besides this, we have to question who should make the judgment call over what deserves monitory gain, what is offensive, what is harmful?
Rightly or wrongly, social media sites tend to be liberal leaning (I would argue this is a good thing) but their employees who are in charge of fact checking also tend to be left leaning.
Understanding the reasons, Trump being blocked off twitter does nothing for democracy. Social media cites should not get to dictation ideology and people should have the freedom to choose the discourse they engage with and have all the facts available to them.
Therefore it becomes dangerous when social media cites become responsible for content.
Yes it is there responsibility to prevent any sort of cyber crime on their platform but they should not have to power to legally control individual speech.

I believe my opponent has misunderstood the topic, since they have just argued in favor of my case. I'd suggest they should concede and the topic be reposted.
